Unlock Samsung SGH-D807 SOLUTION

I found this off another site. I have tested this withy my D807 and it works.

1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
1a. NOTE (Modification here by my experience): Goto SETTINGS, SECURITY, then SIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding.
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to (I used a TMOBILE card from my buddy Darin)
3. When Incorrect SIM (I got invalid card and there was a sim card graphic spinning) error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey. (I ended up pushing the down key to get a menu)
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.

9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK Mentioned earlier gets switched back on)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.

Easy as pie. Now you have an UNLOCKED Samsung D807 =) worked on my brand new 2 day old Samsung D807 phone.

Oh also guys I called Cingular (on hold for 1 hour with these losers) and they told me there is no way to SAVE phonebook contacts from the phone to your sim card. Now this really pisses me off. So I did some searching and found out that with the studio software from samsung you are able to edit and move contacts from your phone to the sim and back. Or copy from the phone and put them on the sim card. Just thought you all should know as there is no menu option on the phone.

Enhanced Full Rate will give you much better sound quality when you enable it. The new Enhanced Full Rate CODEC adopted by GSM uses the ASELP (AlgebraicCode Excitation Linear Prediction) compression technology. This technology allows for much great voice quality in the same number of bits as the older Full Rate CODEC. The older technology was called LPC-RPE (Linear Prediction Coding with Regular Pulse Excitation). Both operate at 13 kilobits.(but you take up more space on the network, so they can charge you more) - Talk-time is reduced with about 5%

How do I unlock them?
If your phone is older BB5, then Dejan Kaljevic, a renowned GSM expert, has released software solution. His solution works for the following phones:

* Nokia 6630 RAP3G v2.10E PA
* Nokia 6680 RAP3G v2.0E PA
* Nokia 6681 RAP3G v2.0E PA
* Nokia E60 RAP3G v2.20E PA

* Nokia E70 RAP3G v2.20E PA
* Nokia N70 RAP3G v2.20 PA
* Nokia N71 RAP3G v2.20 PA
* Nokia N90 RAP3G v2.11 PA
* Nokia N91 RAP3G v2.20E PA
* Nokia N93 RAP3GS v2.0E PA

I have one of those phones. How do I unlock it?
You need

* Phone (SIM card removed!)
* CA43 or DKU5 cable (Original Nokia with 13 pins)
* Software (http://users.net.yu/~dejan/download/bb5.zip)

Instructions

1. Connect cable to computer and phone
2. Set proper COM cable (must be, between 1 and 9)
3. Download unlocker, run `install.bat`
4. Open file c:/bb5_unlocker/logs/bb5_unlocker.cfg with a text editor set proper COM port (1-9)
5. Run c:/bb5 unlocker/BB5logunlocker.exe
6. Turn phone on. While it is turning on, click READ PHONE. You should see "DONE"
7. Click MAKE LOG, a log will be created. This log is used to generate the codes. Wait until you see "DONE".
8. Log file is in folder LOGS. Start BB5_calc.exe to make the PSW file.
9. Press button SP UNLOCK and unlock your phone.

It didn't work!

Solution courtesy to_deal_with on gsmhosting.com

* - Phone off,
* - Connect the cable to phone anc pc (dku5, jaf, serial)
* - Open the program
* - Power on the phone
* - When you see Nokia on the screen, immediately press on Read phone!

Afterwards use BB5 Calc and then SP Unlock

This method has always been a success.
If I power on the phone first and let it start up completely, by inserting the cable phone says enhancement not supported and making log fails.

In this case, reconnect the cable and Press Write backup.
If writing backup succeeded, Just follow the method I wrote above. Tested on many N70.

In Dejan's words:
Be sure that my BB5 logger is installed properly with apropriate FBUS interface (DKU-5) or old clasic FBUS cable connected to standard COM port.

Start loger.
Once connected phone by FBUS interface to PC, press "Read Phone" button. If everything is ok, some data will be readed and displayed, otherwise check your connection, phone, cables, etc.

If logger shows message "SP Data IS corrupted" than you have phone that somebody played with it and destroyed field 308,1. So, you have to fix that field by sending that phone to official NOKIA repair centre!!!

If everything is OK you can press "Make Log" button. LOGER will create backup of field 308,1 and try to make LOG file. In that process, sometimes field 308,1 can be corrupted which can be checked by clicking again on "Read Phone" button.

NOW, if logger shows message "SP Data IS corrupted" than you just have to click several times "WR Backup" and "Read Phone" to check that is your phone is OK.

My phone is hardlocked. What can I do?
If you have already used all 3 attempts to unlock via keypad, but you have unlock codes from your carrier, you can use the program to input the codes.

1. In "c:\bb5_unlocker\psw" create a text file "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa_BB5.psw" where is "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" enter your phones IMEI
2. Then in that created file enter in "#pw+bbbbbbbbbbbbbbb+c#" where is "bbbbbbbbbbbbbbb" is the unlock codes and where is "c" enter your logs level number (1-7).
3. Save the file
4. Use "SP UNLOCK" function

My phone is a BB5 phone, but not on the list of phones that can be unlocked with Dejan's software. What can I do?
If your phone is locked to Vodafone UK you can try this:

Find the IMEI Number on a Mobile Phone

The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is on all GSM and UMTS mobile phones, commonly found in Europe, Asia, Africa and increasingly in America. Cingular & T-Mobile are the major US carriers but there are growing numbers of regional carriers who are switching to GSM like Centennial Wireless, Highland Cellular, Dobson Cellular to name a few. Mobile phone companies can use the number to identify valid subscribers and the type of equipment used. The carrier could thus use the number to remotely disable the phone in the event it is stolen or reported lost and customize data content to be compatible with the type of equipment used, among other things.

1. Ensure your phone is powered on.
2. Unless currently on a call, in which case you would clear out any numbers on the screen that were pressed while on the call, use the same process as dialing a number to be called.
3. Press the following keys one by one: * # 0 6 # and press go or send
4. As you press on the last #, a number will appear with the title, IMEI number, or similar. Read the screen.

Motorola iDen Units

1. With the handset on, press the following key sequence in rapid succession (without pause): # * [menu] [right arrow].
2. On units with SIM cards, scroll down until you see IMEI/SIM ID. Select Enter, and view your IMEI, SIM, and on some units, your MSN. The first fourteen digits are displayed; the fifteenth is always a 0.
3. On older units without SIM cards, continue to hit the [right arrow] key until you see IMEI [0] on the display. The first seven digits are displayed. Hit the menu key, then the "soft key" under next, and the next seven digits are displayed. The final, fifteenth, digit is most often a 0, however, this can be changed by altering the NAM.

Alternate Methods

1. Ensure the phone is powered off.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Look on the phone for a white sticker/label, which would be now exposed after removing the battery, for the IMEI. It would be 15 or 17 digits not including a few forward slashes included and without any letters. Only the first 15-digits are needed.
4. If the phone is not available or if the label is unreadable then have a look at the phone manufacturer's packaging for a white sticker/label. Near one bar code or another the IMEI would also be printed.
